ARABIC TRACE
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Arabic Trace is an Android app provided by MotaQm under the SmokingCatStudio brand. This policy explains how information is handled in Arabic Trace.
App covered by this policy
This policy applies to the Android app “Arabic Trace” (package name: com.smokingcatstudio.arabictrace).
No transmission outside the device
Arabic Trace does not transmit user data outside the device. It does not provide, share, or sell user data to third parties.
The app uses no advertising SDK, usage analytics SDK, or crash analytics SDK, and it does not request Internet access. It has no user account registration or sign-in feature.
Information stored on the device
The app stores the following information locally on the user's device:
- Learning progress for each letter
- The last letter opened
- Practice history: letter, letter form, practice date and time, completed and required stroke counts, tracing assessment, and practice mode
- Volume and mute settings
Information processed temporarily during practice
Coordinates of lines traced on screen are processed temporarily on the device to display the stroke and assess the tracing exercise. These coordinates are not saved in practice history and are not transmitted outside the device.
Purposes of use
Information on the device is used only to:
- Display learning progress
- Display practice counts and history
- Provide tracing feedback
- Retain volume and mute settings
Audio and microphone
The app does not use the microphone and does not record or transmit audio. Feedback sounds are generated and played locally on the device.
Retention and deletion
Information stored on the device is retained until the user clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app. Because no account is created, there is no account data held by the operator and no account-deletion process.
Backup and device transfer
Cloud backup is disabled for the app. However, data stored on the device may be transferred directly to a new device by an operating-system or device-manufacturer transfer feature. Such transfer is performed by the operating system or device manufacturer.
Data security
Learning information and settings handled by the app are processed and stored within Android's app-specific storage. The app does not send this information to an external server.
Changes to this policy
If app functionality or data practices change, this policy will be revised as appropriate. The revised policy will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed.
